So, I must have missed something, b/c tumblr customization doesn’t work for me and my browser anymore. To find new themes, there’s a skinny column with an impossible scroll that I can’t control, I can’t seem to edit my existing ‘about me’, and basically it’s all screwed up. When did this happen and is it staying like this?

I only just realized how short the tumblr message cap is. I now regret not participating in black-out day.
First click on your blog name.
Then click on Settings.
Then scroll down to Submissions and check the box that lets people submit posts to you.
Voila. Not the same format as Asks, but in Submit your followers can post endless text messages (and use the enter key), send you photos, send you URLs, and so on.
